LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY TELEPHONE ENTRY Model Number: AE-1This item has been discontinued and is no longer available. The AE-1 is a complete telephone entry system that contains all of the features and benefits of the AM/II, plus hands free full duplex communications. All four relays can be activated by the user's touch-tone phone. Additional programmable features include extended talk time, directory code length and priority access. Each are housed in a stainless steel wall mount enclosure with a built-in radio receiver. Up to 8 AE-1's can be connected together using the RS-485 protocol to create a 32 door access control network.
Remarkable ease of operation is made possible by a highly visible keypad and large display, which presents visitors with a scrolling directory of up to 3,500 occupants (residents or employees) by name and code. When a code is entered on the keypad, a two-way voice link is established so the occupant can identify the visitor and grant access. Occupants gain entry using a special transmitter by keyless entry. Numerous programming options allow the installer to customize Telephone Entry for virtually any application. System choices include selection of a one-to-four digit directory code, 40 different display messages, talk time duration, and extended talk time for select individuals. Beyond telephone entry, the system can be adapted for use with other forms of access control, as well as with existing access control systems. Adding transmitters is easy because the system includes a built-in radio receiver. Transmitters can be used for the convenience of keyless entry, but also to equip the system with “panic button” capability for duress situations, ideal for sites with detached parking areas. Telephone Entry can also accept inputs from up to six remote devices in addition to its receiver and the front panel keypad, including: remote keypads, remote receivers, and card readers. Two different remote receivers are available, as well as a wired keypad and an interface that allows integration of virtually any 26, 30, or 31 bit Wiegand device. Access control features include: validations groups, time zones, door schedules, relay lock and unlock schedules, and a transaction log. A Wiegand output permits Telephone Entry’s use with other access control systems.
